Part I: Fixing leg posts using Oxygen line
There I was the other night, just posing Cherry Bomb (Cutey Honey head on a Ladies Mission body i'd gotten just before Xmas) and all of a sudden the left leg just fell off...as in SNAPPED off at the pelvis. I figured i'd drill out the post and put a pin in it, as Will (FoxtrotTangoSix) recommended, then use a dab of Crazy glue to hold the whole works together. I kept moving the leg after i put the glue on it to keep the joint from seizing, only to have the GOOD leg seize (in a bent position yet
) So i have to break off the other leg, leaving me with a double amputee
The two legs, the one with the pin is the first one that broke off.

I don't know how or why, but i got the idea to use some leftover Oxygen tubing my mother had set aside after she changed it. Sure enough, it fit through the hole in the pelvis i had to drill. I started out with a 1/16" bit, because that was the smallest bit i had, and yet it was just big enough for the pin that i was using. After the other leg froze up and i had to break it off, I switched to the biggest bit i had in the same set (a 3/16") which was just a little smaller than the indentation in the pelvis where the legs attached, yet still big enough for the leg posts to fit comfortably. I cut a length of the oxygen tubing (i think maybe an inch, inch and a half, i just eyeball things
) and threaded it through the hole, cutting off the excess and leaving about a quarter inch to spare on either side. I then wedged the leg post into the tubing, using more brute force than anything else to squeeze it into place.

The end result, for now, is that both legs are on, and they still have the full range of motion. I just have to be VERY careful when i go to pose it now. I should probably pop the legs off and add a drop of crazy glue again so they'll stay on, but for a quick and dirty fix, it works.

And as you can see, it's an almost invisible solution as well, unless of course you're right up close. The only problem is the thickness of the tube makes the legs stick out just a tiny bit more from the hips than they did originally, but maybe i'm just being too nitpicky
Part II: Repairing a shredded neck post
Anyone who's chatted with me in the last few months knows all too well about the Joanna Dark that i got, only to have the neck socket tear out beyond repair. (YES, I should have heated her up a little so the vinyl of her head would be more flexible, but i didn't, much to my annoyance.
) After a few attempts at repairing the torn socket with a drop of crazy glue and some pliers to hold the mess together as it dried, i got fed up and just carved out the mangled plastic entirely, leaving a gaping hole large enough to fit over the entire neck.

The Jo Dark to the right, wearing the chainlink was the one with the torn out socket.
Sure, it didn't look TOO bad, but it was still bugging me. (I'm weird that way
) Then, while i was looking around for something to repair the legs from Part I, I noticed the end connectors for the oxygen line, specifically the length, as well as the inner diameter (where the splitters and/or cannulas plug in)

I took one end and popped the head onto it, and it fit almost perfectly. It as just the right height, balancing on the top of the head and fitting flush with the opening i'd carved from the neck socket. A little bit of crazy glue to hold it in place (it was just a tiny bit too small to fit snugly in the cavity, but as the picture shows, it did the job.

I had to slit the connector a bit, so it wouldn't grip the neck pin TOO tightly (the neck pin on the body from Part I having already popped out when i removed the Cutey Honey head), but all in all, it works nicely. I might have to remove it and replace it with a shortened one, since the neck sockets on the heads are recessed somewhat, but it shouldn't be too much of a pain to do (famous last words)
Hopefully this might help someone else out there.
