Great stuff, Brian. For a moment there you had me worried about the free diver with the knife.
Are the Joes and Max going to try again? And who are the creepy guys?
It's all fun,

Thanks Dick!!!
There may be more treasure hunts in the future, the "creepy" guys are Abe Sapien and Hellboy from the movie and cartoon based on Mike Mignola's Hellboy comic. Thanks Fuzz, The set-up was fairly simple. I setup a card table and covered it with sand. I used white lights to light it predominantly and added a green spotlight to give it some "color". I then took every underwater shot and in PhotoShop added a background, using layers and silos to have them blend into the background. |

¡Las fotos bajo el agua son perfectas!. ¿Podria enseñarnos algo de la puesta en escena, el decorado, etc...?

Thanks soloorgana3!!!
The backgrounds were "real" photos that I blended into the shots I took. |

I'm really impressed with the "cut" on the foreground shots,
Looks like eraser tool (?) for the far edge of the sand but then goes right into a sharp edge on the divers. |

Cool narrative, I liked the language problem
But my, what excellent shots!!! Some nice Photoshopping there. It would be quite something to actually do the shots underwater. Quite a challenge and I dare say the results would still be nowhere near as good as yours. |

Thanks Fuzz,
Yes, it's the eraser tool. The trick is to do multiple layers and vary the hardness of the brush. The bottom layer is the full shot, the the water shot. layer two is the one where I blended the "ground" with the water (very soft brush) and layer three is the figures with a harder brush to define the edge. After it's all done, just flatten and save as a jpeg. Thanks Croman, It would be pretty amazing to be able to do it actually underwater, but I fear my little digital camera would fizzle!!! |
