Dye / Rub Marks....Need Help |

Ok, I bought a Fun Toys Dragon The Master Bruce Lee. The figure is really(in my opinion) a great figure. When I removed his shirt however, he had dark spots
on the softer plastic of the arms. Now I'm not sure if these are dye marks or if its just something with the plastic or what. I was wondering if there was
any way of removing these or if it would be better to just give him a repaint? Any help would be great.

Hi! Have you tried Benzoyl Peroxide ( Oxy 10 ) ? It has always worked pretty good for me. But you have to leave it on for a few days. Try a small test area.
I've heard that it can be pretty harsh to some vinyl.

Hey thanks GILOLA, actually I had someone else tell me the same thing and I even tired it for 2-3 days. It did work to some extent but Bruce ended up being
sacrificed to to the custom gods were I gave him a full paint job. I'll post pics later for everyone. Anyway thanks again for the reply.

Yeah, the Oxy solution is hit or miss, at least it has been with me. I've never really had the great results that others have.
I should point out that after having problems mainly with Mattel figures, I have had a few Hasbro figures with the dye issue. It made me so paranoid, that as soon as I get a figure, debox him/her and the clothes come off and I hand wash them. I need to do the vinegar wash, but haven't as of yet. I really wish the companies would do something about it. After all these years, they're bound to know about it and could easily remedy it. |
